CAREC EU – Lab Management Maintenance

It is essential that equipment and the environment, in which they operate, be kept in optimum condition so that results of laboratory tests are trustworthy and downtime is minimal. The laboratory users of equipment and the biomedical personnel who are responsible for planned preventive and corrective maintenance need to be competent to achieve this.

Therefore, the project developed ways to train persons to provide additional skills. It also spearheaded the formation of an association of biomedical professionals with provision for affiliate members in order to sustain the gains of networking and provide a means of garnering support for biomedical engineering staff to access continuing education opportunities.
